The Simion Stoilow Institute of Mathematics in cooperation with Centre Francophone en Mathématique, Groupement de Recherche International ECO-math, ICUB The Research Institute of the University of Bucharest, and the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Bucharest organize the 28th National School on Algebra, June 8-12, 2020, Bucharest, Romania with partial support from Bitdefender.

The conference aims at introducing students and young researchers to new areas of research in the topic of the school. There will be a series of lectures given by the invited speakers: Alexandru Constantinescu (Freie Universität Berlin, Germany), Florian Enescu (Georgia State University, USA), Gavril Farkas (Humboldt- Universität zu Berlin, Institut für Mathematik, Germany), Claudiu Raicu (Notre-Dame University, USA), and Jerzy Weyman (Jagiellonian University, Poland).
Students and young researchers willing to participate in the school with a contributory talk are encouraged to send a title and an abstract of their contribution of at most one page, by May 1st, 2020. The title and abstract should be sent to the email address of the contact person (vladoiu@fmi.unibuc.ro). The final schedule of the conference will be posted mid-May, 2020.
Arrival day is Sunday, June 7th. Lectures will take place from Monday, June 8th, to Friday, June 12th at the Instute of the Romanian Academy.
Funds for covering the local expenses (for both the conference and school) to a limited number of selected participants will be available. Preference will be given to graduate students and early career mathematicians.
