The Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science from Ovidius University, Constanta,
in cooperation with the Romanian Mathematical Society
will organize the The 10th International Conference of TENSOR Society on Differential Geometry & Its Applications and Mathematical Foundations of Information Sciences & Its Applications.
The conference is partially sponsored by the Romanian Mathematical Society and will take place between September 3 and September 7, 2008, in Constanta.
The conference aims at bringing together high-level experts in differential geometry, applied differential geometry in physics and from related fields as well (Lagrange geometry, Finsler geometry, Lie algebras, etc). It also intends to introduce Romanian PhD students and young researchers to differential geometry and its applications in order to enable them to receive the required knowledge for doing significant research in this area of mathematics.
Last date for registration: July 10, 2008.

You can reach Constanta by plane, the frequency of flights to the nearby Mihail Kogalniceanu International Airport increasing during summer. The airport is located 30 km northwest of the city in the town of Mihail Kogalniceanu. There are many charther flights during summer as well as flights from the second biggest Romanian airline, Carpatair, linking Constanta with Timisoara and from there onwards with major European destinations such as Vienna, cities in southern Europe (Spain, Italy) or Germany and vice-versa. The Hungarian airline Malev is also offering flights between Constanta and Budapest. If you plan to reach the city fully by plane, you'd be better off taking a flight from where you are to Budapest and from there another one to Constanta rather than taking the Bucharest route. Information about domestic flights to Constanta one can find using Henry Coanda Bucharest International Airport. The average cost of a ticket is about 80 EUR/flight. We recommend you to use airflights connected to Mihail Kogalniceanu Airport.
If you land in Bucharest use a cab (flycab) to reach Bucuresti Nord railway station. The cost is about 20-25 EUR.
The webpage of Romanian Rail System (in romanian, CFR) offers information about how to reach Constanta from Bucharest and viceversa. You have only to spell "Bucharest" as "Bucuresti Nord". The cost of railway ticket is about 30 EUR (one way).
In Constanta railway station representatives of the university will wait for you.
