Institute of Mathematics Simion Stoilow of the Romanian Academy (Bucharest) and the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Bucharest University, in cooperation with the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Ovidius University, Constanta, will organize the 23rd National School on Algebra, August 31-September 4, 2015, Bucharest, Romania. The topic of the school is "Interactions of Computer Algebra with Commutative Algebra, Combinatorics and Algebraic Statistics".

The lectures will take place in the Miron Nicolescu Hall at IMAR, ground floor. The conference aims at introducing students and young researchers to new areas of research in the topic of the school. Topics include: algebraic statistics, coding theory and cryptography, integer programming, toric ideals.

Authors willing to participate at the conference with a contributory talk are encouraged to send a title and an abstract of their contribution of at most 1 page, by July 15th, 2015. The title and abstract should be sent to the email address of the contact person (vivian@univ-ovidius.ro). The final schedule of the conference will be posted mid-August, 2015.

Arrival date is Sunday, August 30th. Lectures will take place from Monday, August 31st, to Friday, September 4th. Unfortunately, there are no funds available either for travel support or local expenses.
