and the Romanian Mathematical Society, organizes the
Workshop on Algebraic and Analytic Number Theory and Their Applications
The workshop will take place at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, "Ovidius" University, Constanţa, Romania (http://math.univ-ovidius.ro/), from Thursday, May 23, to Friday, May 24, 2013.
The workshop will have an exploratory character, and will be a meeting between mathematicians from many countries, working in several research directions in number theory and its applications, such as class field theory, class groups, Iwasawa theory, elliptic curves, p-adic analysis, L-functions, modular forms, diophantine equations, computational number theory, etc. On this occasion we intend to explore some connections between algebraic number theory and various other mathematical domains, such as analytic number theory, algebraic geometry, algebraic hyperstructures, group theory, as well as connections between class field theory and associative algebras theory.
The talks of the workshop will be organized in two parallel sections:
1. Algebraic numbers theory;
2. Analytic numbers theory and applications of number theory.
The talks will be held in English, French or Catalan. We intend to publish a proceedings volume in the journal Analele Ştiinţifice ale Universităţii "Ovidius",
Seria Matematica (http://www.anstuocmath.ro/).
Registration: There is no registration fee. Accommodation expenses for the invited speakers will be covered by the local organizers. Anyone interested in attending this workshop should contact us at the e-mail address firstname.lastname@example.org.
Deadline: April 23, 2013.
Financial Support: The organizers gratefully acknowledge the financial support awarded by the National Council
